Walsingham

Next Sunday, I will be in Walsingham with the Latin Mass Society's annual walking pilgrimage.  Although I will not be walking the 57 miles from Ely to Walsingham, which takes three days, I do hope to join the pilgrims on the final stretch.

There will be a Solemn Mass in the Basilica at Horton St Giles at 2pm on Sunday 25th August, followed by a procession along the Holy Mile when the Rosary will be sung.  There will be further devotions at the site of the holy house within the Abbey grounds which will conclude before 4pm.

I have made this annual pilgrimage for about 15 years, and it is, in my view, the finest pilgrimage on offer.  I strongly recommend it.

Paul Waddington.
