Mass for St Margaret Clitherow in York Minster, 26 March 2011
The first sung Latin Mass at the High Altar of York Minster since the reign of Mary Tudor.
Great photos of a WONDERFUL day!! How tremendous to celebrate the Feast of St Margaret Clitherow (the Pearl of York) in a church that she would have known & loved, in a form (the EF) which she would have experienced & using music by a composer (William Byrd) who was her contemporary. Let us look forward to the next one, perhaps as Missa Solemnis?
